A Legacy Rooted in Community

More than 55 years ago, Lincoln Community Health Center was founded on a simple but powerful belief — that everyone deserves access to quality healthcare, regardless of their circumstances. From its earliest days, Lincoln became more than just a health center; it became a trusted place of hope, healing, and compassion for the Durham community.

As the needs of our community continued to grow, so did the vision to provide support beyond the walls of the clinic. In 2008, the Lincoln Community Health Center Foundation was established to help strengthen and sustain that mission. Since then, the Foundation has played a vital role in supporting patient care, expanding resources, funding critical equipment, supporting community programs, and helping Lincoln respond during times of urgent need.

Because of generous donors and community partners, the Foundation has helped make meaningful investments that directly impact the lives of our patients — from supporting healthcare for individuals experiencing homelessness to helping provide medical equipment, patient assistance programs, and resources that improve access to care for thousands of families each year.

Every contribution tells a story. A story of a child receiving care they otherwise may not have received. A story of a patient finding hope during a difficult diagnosis. A story of a community coming together to ensure that compassionate care remains available for generations to come.
