The Ninth Annual Lincoln Community Health Center Foundation Legacy Award Virtual Luncheon

Celebrating 50 years of Lincoln Community Health Center
Our Ninth Annual Legacy Award Virtual Luncheon will be held on Friday, May 7th, 2021. This is a virtual event only with a box lunch pick up option. Since its founding in 1971 by Dr. Charles DeWitt Watts, Lincoln Community Health Center has provided uninterrupted health care to Durham’s most vulnerable citizens for 50 years. As North Carolina’s first board certified African American surgeon having practiced in Durham from 1950, Dr. Watts struggled to make Lincoln Community Health Center happen in an unwelcoming environment. Today, Lincoln is a trusted resource for Durham as our community advocates for health equality and to end racial disparities. We hope you will help us celebrate Lincoln’s 50 years of service to the Durham community with our annual legacy award. This is the only fundraiser for the Foundation, and your contribution will help the 36,000 men, women and children who come to Lincoln Community Health Center annually for their primary medical care. In lieu of attendance, donations are accepted.
